SSU and Korea EMC signed a collaboration agreement, with the provision of training support for an information infrastructure and for a specialized workforce as the first targets. This deal concerns a cooperation program called ‘EAA,’ involving 45 countries and more than 300 academic institutions. From the second semester of this year, Korea EMC will provide the required instructors, textbooks, and special education, and will shoulder the expense of applying for ISM certification. It also decided to give preference to students who have ISM certification when hiring new employees. SSU’s representative stated, “Through this agreement with Korea EMC, a leading company in the information infrastructure and cloud computing field, our Department of Computing will produce outstanding graduates who will one day become the leaders of the country’s and world’s IT industry.” Korea EMC in turn said,
“As many companies start their IT infra based on clouding computers, the importance of this infra management technology is increasing. In the course of its evolution into a computing-specialized company, Korea EMC will expand its various collaboration programs that can enable the students to experience and share information infrastructure technologies, which are the most important data in the course.”
