professors and students are fuelling this magnificent growth.
Last September, Kim Tae-jin (School of Business
Administration, 08) got the first prize in the investment mock
contest Star Campus Stock Festival sponsored by KB
Investment & Securities and KB Kookmin Bank, which ran
for 10 weeks from last September.
Kim became the first among the 10,139 competitors, recording
a 47.01% earnings rate, and he got 10 million won as prize
money. As additional prizes, he can obtain preferential
employment and got a Galaxy Tab unit. Other Soongsil students
got the third and fifth prizes in this contest, enhancing
the prestige of the university. The awards ceremony was held
on December 19 and announced 15 winners.
Kim said, “I’m glad I got this chance to bring honor to our
school, and I also want to thank the school for the scholarship
they have given me, and for everything else.” Kim wrote a
thank-you letter to the President of Soongsil University, Kim
Dae-keun, a former student and professor in his department.
