When a client brings his problem to Student Counseling Center, the counselor diagnoses the source of the problem in all possible aspects, such as family circumstances, personal relations, problems with the opposite sex, and emotional disturbance. Moreover, Student Counseling Center offers various psychological tests as well as counseling. MMPI-2, a multifaceted personality test, is the most typical of such tests. Clients receive personal counseling based on MMPI-2. In addition to counseling, Student Counseling Center conducts various campaigns for the prevention of sexual violence and mental health. Some campaigns are jointly hosted with Seoul Mental Health Center. Student Counseling Center also offers psychological lectures to students, conducted in the form of seminars. Moreover, researches on the actual conditions of the Soongsiliansare conducted by the center. The center is not content with the Soonsilians’ mere adaptation to the university. The ultimate goal of the center is the welfare of the Soongsilians of all ages. According to the manager of Student Counseling Center, many students should visit the center and should obtain useful information about self-realization and career exploration. Student Counseling Center is located on the fifth floor of Student Union Building (room number 504). Its operatinghours are from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
