ST: You have just taken your first step into the SSU campus. What do you consider the most important thing in your past few months as a college freshman?

Jang: It’s important to be independent and to be responsible for my own choices. I have difficulty finding everything that I need for myself because I always had teachers in the past informing me about what next to do.

ST: What’s next for you?

Jang: There are various things to do: taking a trip, enrolling in an English language program during the vacation, preparing for joining the army, specifically KATUSA,etc.

ST: What do you want to tell the future college students?

Jang: Having a successful campus life is really up to you!

ST: In your first year as a university student, you seem to have adapted quite well to campus life. What do you think is most important with regard to a student’s campus life?

Go: Mastery of English!

ST: What’s next for you?

Go: I need to find out what I really want to do. I’m eager to engage in various activities, and just studying my lessons is too much for me.

ST: What advice would you give to the freshmen about how to have a worthwhile campus life?

Go: Improve your own abilities to the max, and develop abilities that are distinct from those of others!

ST: You are past halfway of your campus life. What do you think is most important with regard to a student’s campus life?

Kong: Managing one’s own credits and having continuous activities, such as being a continuous volunteer or a club member! Working as an SNS reporter is also a big help to me.

ST: What’s next for you?

Kong: As I have roughly decided to pursue a career in marketing, this vacation, I want to travel to several countries to broaden my experience.

ST: What do you want to tell the freshmen and sophomores about how to have a worthwhile campus life? Kong: Spread your “career net,” such as pursuing a double major or completing an advanced course in teacher education.

ST: Seniors are old hands all too soon and are at a crossroads in terms of making a choice regarding what specific career to pursue. What do you think is most important during one’s campus life?

Shim: It’s important to find what you really want to do in the future.

ST: What’s next for you?

Shim: I may do internship during the summer vacation, and put myself on the job market in the second term. Especially, I have set my sights on the marketing team of Hyundai Motor Company. I know I said earlier that it’s important to find what you really want to do, but in reality, I’m afraid that what I actually consider in the career that I will pursue is the annual income, my major, and things like that.

ST: To conclude this interview, what do you want to tell the students out there who are trying to earn the highest grades about how to have a worthwhile campus life?

Shim: Do everything that you can possibly do, especially extracurricular activities!

Many people feel that they lacked something in their past. To become happy and successful, live in the present moment and focus on what is going on right now in your life. There is no such thing as eternal youth.
