Professor Bae Myung-jin, the head of the Sound Engineering Laboratory, will soon be listed in the Marquis Who’s Who in the World 2014 for his notable influence in the field of engineering. Marquis Who’s Who is a global biographical dictionary issued annually. It selects celebrities and leaders in various fields and introduces their achievements to the world. Each year, it chooses celebrities who have been influential in various fields, including science, engineering, art, and culture, from 215 countries around the world. Marquis Who’s Who, one of the three global biographical institutions, is the world’s most widely used information tools. It is famous for its 100-year history and strict selection criteria. Being listed in Marquis Who’s Who is more an indicator of national strength than an honor for an individual. Professor Bae graduated from the Department of Electronic Engineering of Soongsil University and obtained his Ph.D. from Seoul National University. He served as president of the Acoustical Society of Korea and is known as the leader in the field of sound engineering. Professor Bae has been featured by the domestic and international broadcast media more than 4,000 times and has published more than 1,000 R&D papers.
