The Charm of Fair Tour

Travel, A Way to Find Yourself
What did you do during summer vacation? Did you get enough relaxation? Maybe some of you have traveled somewhere. Regardless of where you have gone, you would have spent money for bed and foodstuff. In addition, you may have bought souvenirs, visited tourist attractions, or watched shows. Good for you! Now, let us talk about whether that was a good trip or not.
The ST carried out a survey, which targeted university students. The survey covered the subject matter of traveling, particularly tours that could cause damages to the location of the natives. As you can see from the chart, majority of the people have availed of the package tour. Furthermore, they have bought special products made from animals and plants. Most of them have replied that they have never thought of the consequences of their economic activities while visiting other places.

The Origin of Fair Travel
During the 1960's, newly independent countries have become aware of an innovative business that is currently known as the tourism industry. Tourism is unrelated to the problems involving pollution and abuse of natural resources. Travelers pay money for the chance to explore and appreciate the beauty of nature. Furthermore, tourism is justified by facts such as job offerings, improved infrastructure, and regional development in the poor countries. Based on these reasons, tourism has been developed at a fast rate.
What about the natives? Did they truly benefit from tourism? Sadly, this was not the case. Travelers are able to enjoy a vacation in a dreamlike resort. However, this is a far cry from the reality. The resort location was originally a place where the natives live their lives. They have become homeless and jobless as a result. There has been an absence of full compensation.
Let us then trace the money's whereabouts. The corporations explained that tourism creates jobs; however, the money goes back to the prosperous nations. Most of the hotels, airlines, tourism companies, and chain restaurants are owned by a multinational company. The director of Tourism Concern, which i s a non-governmental organization in the United Kingdom, stated that these multinational companies take nearly 80% of the whole revenue. Only 20% of the profit goes to the natives.
For example, the operators of safari travel agencies are mostly owned by foreign firms. Safari is extremely dangerous that travelers are required to wear expensive equipment. Most individuals could not afford the expenses; therefore, they have no choice but to  depend on the package tour. All of the planning decisions on hotel booking, restaurant reservation, and mode of transportation  are left in the foreign firm's hand. Communication with the natives and field experience rarely existed. Instead, the travelers are  surrounded by multinational companies.
One such remarkable case is the trekking of the Himalaya. The trekking guides and porters are natives to the area. Moreover, their job description includes following the travelers assigned to them. The porters carry their heavy luggage weighing approximately 40kg, 50kg, or even more in order to provide the travelers a more comfortable trekking experience. However, the porters and trekking guides' daily wage is around 3~4 dollars only. Furthermore, they are not provided with a comfortable lodging, washroom, and food in the mountain cabin. Fatigue and mountain sickness have become part of their everyday lives.
Due to this historical inequality in tourism, the ‘Fair Trade Movement becomes the way out to solve this problem. The aim of Fair Tour is to make tourism more sustainable by ensuring that the people who contribute their land, resources, labor and knowledge to tourism are the ones who reap the benefits.
This is done by growing awareness about responsible tourism to travelers; assisting tourism businesses to operate more sustainably. This includes fair wages and working conditions, fair purchasing and operations, equitable distribution of benefits and respect for human rights, culture and the environment.
With Fair Travel, travelers are not only assured that their holiday benefits local communities and economies, and that the business is operated ethically and in a socially and environmentally responsible manner, but they will also have a more fulfilling holiday experience.

Find Your Own Way to Enjoy Trip
What makes your journey a good trip? Some people emphasized its educational value, as well as emotional enrichment, in meeting the native people there, while others based it on their enjoyable experiences such as savoring

traditional dishes or posting their travel photos on Facebook and Instagram. It can be defined in a million different ways.
Nevertheless, there are certain aspects that make our trip valuable. You should have taken at least 50 pictures of the site that would surely amaze your family and friends. You should have visited at least 5 tourist attractions, and learned something from it. Moreover, you should have befriended and added at least 10 native foreign friends there on Facebook. Once you have accomplished these, you could say that your trip had been great.
It is ridiculous. It is as if you are achieving specific goals in order to make your trip worthy. Why do we have to do something that is gravely affecting our daily lives? Do not make your trip something that you have to challenge yourself with. It is only a trip, and not a school assignment. Do not try to make too much conventional sense out of your trip just because everyone else did. You should make it your own. The most important thing is that you had a wonderful time.

Why Students Should Set Out On a Trip
Travelling has a special importance to students. Many of the things they learn in textbooks can be practically understood when they visit various places. In means, travelling has great educational value. It increases the frontiers of our knowledge. While travelling, a person comes across people of different races, religions, castes, regions, etc. He also visits different places. Each place has a historical importance of its own. It has something in common with why many colleges and school suggest study abroad or exchange scholarship.
Also, Travelling is a source of great pleasure. It gives us refresh to our dull and repetitive routine. The beauty and cold of the hills, the charm of the valleys, the chirping of birds, the song of the rivers, the howling of animals, pleasant air, quiet places can heal those who exhausted from daily work.
The most important point in travel, is that trip can make remind the precious of people around you and far from you. Travelling  affords us an opportunity to meet our near and dear ones who may be far away from us. It enables us to meet new people and know their customs, habits and traditions. We can also know the different kinds of food eaten by people belonging to different regions. It widens people’s mental horizon, adds thrill and relaxation to life and helps promote the interests to the world.
The importance of fair tour kicks in here. Modern tourism industry separates tourist from real environment. The attraction which tourism company shows to people is disconnected from local situation. The fair tour trend in these days is expression of needs to reconnect tourist and their travel sight. Now those you hard worker so far, go out and get your real happy out there.
Fair Tour is a unique experience. It affords us an opportunity to acquire first-hand knowledge about our own country as well as about foreign countries.
