SSU and KOSBI (Korea Small-Business Institute) signed an MOU (memorandum of understanding) last July 7. The MOU signing ceremony began with greetings and ended with taking a commemorative photograph of the event. Kim Se-jong, the director of KOSBI, Yoon Heon-deok of SSU, and many other people took part in the event. Both institutions concur with the importance of spreading the success experience of small businesses to the economic-cooperation target countries. They saw the necessity of delivering information to the small businesspeople and policymakers in the target countries through education, study, and consulting projects. There are three main purposes for this conclusion : (1) to analyze the existing researches and cases aimed at small businesses; (2) to analyze the various KSPs (knowledge sharing programs) in force in domestic and foreign agencies; (3) to appraise the experiences and knowledge of the small businesses in South Korea, and to come up with a model for each type. Through this, the small businesses in the country will make an effort to develop themselves and to establish various programs of their own.
