On November 3, the ‘2016 Catch the Start-Up Festival’ was held at SSU. This festival was hosted by Dongjak District. Its aim was to create a start-up network for the students as well as the district people and prepare them with a variety of start-up information. One hundred booths were built for the flea market, start-up companies, and student start-up zone, among others. The employment and start-up sessions were held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. inside the SSU campus. At the opening ceremony, Choi Ja-young, the head of the SSU start-up support center, said that the shortage of high-quality jobs and the prolonged duration of economic depression have paved the way in which people will invest in a start-up business one way or another. Therefore, we opened this festival to remove the possible fear of the startup from the students and the district people and to create a new start-up atmosphere in the Dongjak District.
