Did you have a good summer vacation? There is a Soongsilian who spent an unusual vacation here. ST talked with her. .............................................................................Ed
After the spring semester was over, students started their vacation. What were they doing for during their vacation time? Generally, during the vacation period, students usually want to participate in activities that they couldn’t do during the semester, or experiences that they couldn’t enjoy before. ST decided to listen to the story of the youth in their 20s just when their hearts are on fire. Isn’t there one who experiences something slightly different, a little bit challenging?
ST interviews Jeong Yoo-bin of Department of Entrepreneurship and Small Business.
ST: Nice to meet you. Please introduce yourself.
Jeong: Hello, I’m Jeong Yoo-bin, a sophomore in the Department of Entrepreneurship and Small Business.
ST: You don’t look nervous at all. Do you have any experiences in interviewing?
Jeong: I used to be an interviewer. It’s my first time being an interviewee.
ST: Please introduce how you spent your summer vacation.
Jeong: During the summer vacation, I set a goal of “Let’s do better activities than we did in the first grade.” Looking back, I think I can score about 90 points. My goal during the vacation was to plan for about three trips, but I lost 10 out of 100 points. Instead, I gave myself 90 points for doing many activities that I could do in the corner of my room.
ST: ST thinks you’ve spent a good time with 90 points for activities that you can do in your room. What kind of activities did you do?
Jeong: I was part of the management team of SSU’s startup club, Synergy. This club hosted a crowdfunding activity under the theme of board games. And I made many presentations because I am preparing for a start-up team with my friends. I think it was during the summer vacation when I was preoccupied with starting a business. I think it was a time when I was able to plan and create various contents, such as interviewing entrepreneurs, while working as a supporter in a SSU start-up support group.
ST: Is there any way to spend your vacation more meaningfully?
Jeong: Whenever I get tired from studying, I tend to look for external activities in a vacation in advance. It’s better if you study while thinking, ‘If I end the semester, I can pursue activities that I dreamed of.’ So, I tend to list down things that I need to do during a vacation in advance, then apply and implement them.
ST listened to the story of a girl who spent her 20s meaningfully and beautifully. It looks a ‘venture’ to see her performing different activities, including starting a business. ST thinks the 20s is a time when you can plan your life and live a challenging life. What have you done lately?
