The College of Humanities, the Department of Language and Literature, the Department of German Literature and the Department of English Language and Literature have posted nativelanguage plays in their respective major languages. The Department of German Language and Literature’s production was held on the first floor of the Blue Cube at SSU Student Center for two days, from September 5 to 6. It was a play hosted by Vine, a theater department in the Department of German Language and Literature. The director was Lee Yoo-bin, the assistant director was Lee Jeongbin, and the play planner was Kim Seung-woo. There were four actors, including Kim Han-kyul. The play is titled, DAS FLOSS DER MEDUSA, which means a draft of Medusa. This is set in the scene of a struggle on a remote ship.
Also, the Department of English Language and Literature’s production was held from September 24 to September 25. It was a play hosted by the theater department of the Department of English Literature. The director was Koo Myung-jin, and the play planner was Han Da-hee. The play was Mamma Mia based on the world-famous musical Mamma Mia.
In annual native-language play, students can improve their speaking skills by speaking in the language that they know. The script of the play can enhance the pronunciation and intonation of the language directly during practice. Many students are paying attention to what kind of native-language plays will be held next year.
