Soongsil University is conducting an antismoking campaign in West minster Hall 1F to emphasize the negative effect of smoking. This campaign begins on September 14th and will end on November 2th.
The Campaign not only provides medical treatment and consultations about the harmful effects of smoking, but also gives education that can help smokers quit.
If smokers withstand the temptation to smoke for a semester, they can receive a scholarship which amounts to 300,000 won from the Ministry of Health and Welfare. If they continue not to smoke for one more semester, then they can receive an additional 200,000 won.
The deadline for making applications was September 7th. Every smoker can ask for information about the campaign which is co-sponsored by Soongsil Unversity and Seoul Dongjak Public Heath Center. If you want to have further information, call 820-0832.
