A Play of Japanese

One of the College of Liberal Arts in SSU, Department of Japanese and Japan is scheduled to play in Japanese on 9, September in Sadang culture and art center near by Namsung station. This event is holding every other year in the Department. This play title is <Embarrassed Sunday more than battle in Apachi fort> and has 11 actors, 14 staffs. Professor of Department of Japanese and Japan Ogino Chihiro and play director Lee Joong-hoon (Dept. of Japanese Studies and Linguistics, 08) auditioned applying students of Dept. of Japanese Studies and Linguistics for play on 19, May. Applicants were diverse from class of '11 to '05. Audition is processed that applicants wrote role they want on paper from first preference to third preference. Then Prof. Ogino and director Lee had one-on-one interview with applicant involving reading the script in Japanese and Korean with emotion.
Chosen actors and staffs had first meeting for play was 2, June. On that day, they watched a play <Embarrassed Sunday more than battle in Apachi fort>. And after the semester ends and during summer vacations, all actors, director and Prof. Ogino assemble for training every Monday, Wednesday and Friday p.m. 1:00 to 6:00.
