1st Anniversary of SSU Alumni

The 1st anniversary of the founding of the SSU Alumni Scholarship Association was held on November 21st at Han Kyung-chik Memorial Hall. The ceremony was proceeded as planned, with a prayer for the SSU Alumni Scholarship Association and report of their activities. Kim Dae-keun, the president of the SSU attended this event and gave a congratulatory address to the alumni. At the end of this ceremony, ST interviewed Lee Duk-sil, the chairman of the Board of the SSU Alumni Scholarship Association. ST asked “Why did older alumni establish this foundation?”, he said "We thought ‘How can we express our love to juniors?’ for a long time and the answer was ‘Giving scholarship’. So we established this foundation.”. And then ST asked him “What is the selection criterion for scholarship recipients?”. “We select students who have talent to be a global Christian leader” he said. At the end, ST asked “What do you expect from students through this support?”, and he said “We want our juniors’ success. And we expect them to increase SSU’s reputation.”
