<Steps Prior to Social Debut: University>

In this page, ST shows you the role of women integrity in the university. First, ST investigates the percentage of female executives in the student body, representing the opinions of the students. In SSU this year (2013), there are 53 student organizations in existence, and their presidents and vice presidents number 23 in all. Among these, nine are women. In Chungang University, there are currently 55 student organizations, and the college, student body, and club alliance presidents and vice presidents number 21 in all. Among these, only two are women. In these two universities, the percentage of female executives in the student body is less than 50%. Also, the data regarding the employment rate among the university graduates show a more than 20% difference between the male and female employment rates. Inha University shows the biggest difference between the male and female employment rates: 25.9%. Thus, even in university life, women power isn’t easy to see. ST asks some Soongsilians what they think about female leadership.
