In April 14, Office of the Chaplain hosted Hyungnam Concert in Hyungnam Hall. It was the first official event after opening of the hall. This concert was held in order to “cultivate the cultural environment of SSU” according to the Head of Missionary Team Kim Mun-kwon from the Office of the Chaplain. He also said, “The event is held in this very hall to commemorate the late SSU Chairman of the board Kim Hyung-nam, a leading figure in the reconstruction of SSU.”

Hyungnam Hall is located at the second floor of Hyungnam Memorial Engineering Building, and it was named after the late Chairman of the Board in the memory of his contribution. It was renovated and opened last march to serve various purposes for students. In the hall’s opening ceremony, President Hahn Hern-soo said “I wish for Hyungnam Hall be a place that encourages the students’ creativity and dreams.” The Office of the Chaplain wishes to plan more cultural events in this hall. Hyungnam Hall is opened to all students on all days aside from national holidays.
