SSU, An Intellectual Property Education Leading University in 2019

 According to the Foundation of University-Industry Cooperation, SSU is selected as an intellectual property (IP) education leading university in 2019 by the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) and the Korean Invention Promotion Association (KIPA). The period of the project is five years from 2019 to 2023. The school will receive 180 million won per year, and the total amount is 900 million won.

 This operational support business provides support in cultivating people of talent and enhancing the education infrastructure through systematic education regarding intellectual property. SSU works on a system track IP curriculum and performs a role as IP education and base expansion by increasing multidisciplinary IP united courses and IP education.

 For this reason, SSU has been trying to improve IP awareness. The school supported IP training program for professors (T3), opened IP K-MOOC classes, and held IP competitive exhibitions. By providing learning opportunities regarding the comprehension of IP and IP start-up, SSU has completed an actual start-up program blended major with IP.
