The 2019 by-election vote was held from April 1st to 4th, and vote counting was completed on April 5th. This is the first year the phrase is written both in English and Chinese on the wall for foreign students in SSU. The election head offices where the elections were held included the Central Committee of Audit, the College of Law, and the College of Social Sciences Association. The College of Business Administration Association was canceled from the candidate registration after receiving 3 warnings and 1 caution. So, they couldn’t participate in the vote counting.

Ju Han-byeol (Architecture student, 15) and Oh Jong-woon (Architecture student, 15) were elected to the central audit committee with 92.87% polling rate from the 51.37% turnout. Chairperson Ju Han-byeol spoke a few words on being elected, promising to do their best to become a transparent and fair central audit committee, and thanked Soongsilians for trusting them. Furthermore, Jung Hae-yin (International law student, 15) and Jo Hyeon-jung (International law student, 16) were elected after receiving a 96.09% polling rate since they were the only candidates in the law association. In the College of Social Sciences Association, Park Yun-ji (Department of Journalism, Public Relations, and Advertising student, 16) and Lee Sang-yun (Political Science and International Relations student, 17) were elected after garnering a 95.89% polling rate.

On the other hand, since there was no candidate from the College of Economics and International Commerce and the College of Information Technology, the position in the association is vacant. Moreover, the position in the College of Business Administration is also vacant because they could not proceed to the vote count.
