SSU failed to make it to the top 10 in the first test of the CPA (Certified Public Accountant) test conducted on February 23, 2020. Among Soongsilians, 68 passed the first test.

This year, 2,201 applicants passed the first test, which is more than the number of applicants who passed the previous year (2,008). Two years ago, the government declared that it would gradually expand the number of successful CPA applicants. As a result, the minimum number of successful applicants for this year’s CPA test is 1,100, an increase of 200 from two years ago and 100 from last year. Both the first and second rounds have increased due to the structure in which the first test of acceptance is linked to the second test. The rankings of the other universities, including SSU, are expected to be known only after the second test is over.

Ewha Womans University, which ranked 10th in the first test last year, was relegated to 11th place in the second test. However, this year, Ewha Womans University ranked 10th over SSU in the first test. What is noteworthy about this year’s CPA rankings is the ranking battle between Ewha Womans University and SSU.

SSU failed to make it to the top 10 in the nation’s universities by producing 53 successful applicants for the first test of CPA in 2019. However, there were 30 successful students in the second (final) test of CPA in 2019, ranking 10th in universities nationwide. Unlike the results of this year’s first test, it seems likely that the ranking will change in the second (final) test.
