SSU Admission Information Sessions Are Held on YouTube

On June 17, SSU announced that it would hold this year’s admission information sessions via YouTube Live. The decision to conduct non-contact sessions was made after concerns were raised over the spread of COVID-19. SSU suggested that these online sessions could be replacements for the Seoul / Gyeonggi / Incheon teacher-exclusive 2021 admission information sessions that were canceled on July 2.

The 11 sessions that ran from June 17 to July 30 covered topics such as ‘Early Admission’, ‘Personal Statement Special’, ‘Interviews’, ‘The Cases of Accepted Individual Students’, and provided real-time feedback and a Q&A using the realtimechatting feature of the platform. Some sessions were held during later hours for people who could not participate in earlier hours – such as in the case of the ‘Special Seminar for Parents’, while others were held on weekends.

Jung Ki-cheol head of SSU’s Admission Office, stated that “Admission information sessions provided live on YouTube have the merit of being able to reach students, parents, and teachers even when it is difficult to host regular sessions. People who tune in live can ask questions through the chat, and  admission officers will be providing answers directly to them.”
