‘Double Scholarship’ Fund-Raising Campaign

     On October 8, SSU started the ‘Double Scholarship’ fund-raising campaign in order to help Soongsillians in need due to the effects COVID-19. The Double Scholarship is a method of donating again to Soongsillians who need economic support and mentoring in the same way of raising donations by other schools. The program aims to take care of our Soongsillians, who have not been able to make ends meet due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, and to be one with Soongsilians in frustration and hardship.

     The campaign ran from October 8 to December 31. The target fundraising amount was 100 million won. It is divided into regular sponsorship and temporary sponsorship, and the amount of sponsorship can be freely selected. Anyone, including alumni, enrolled students, parents, ordinary people, professors, and business operators, can donate. The donations aim to rase 1 million won each for 10 students per semester. In particular, students in emergency situations, such as household financial crisis and maladjustment in school, will be selected as targets for support.

     This campaign will help realize the true value of SSU, ‘Truth and Ministration’ to reach out to Soongsillians in need. The SSU Development Fund team said, “Please show the side of Soongsillians who are sad with those who are sad, and rejoice with those who are happy. (Romans 12:15).”
