SSU 64th Student Council Inauguration
On November 24th, 6,648 (54.45%) out of a total of 12,245 eligible voters participated, resulting in the election of Yoon Jae-young as President and Kim Seoyeon as Vice President of the Student Council. They secured overwhelming support with 6,098 votes (91.3%), earning them the positions as the new leaders of the Student Council. Their key promises encompass many aspects aimed at enhancing student welfare. Among these, in terms of academic policies, they plan to introduce a “Credit Transfer System,” allowing students to carry over credits from the previous semester to the next. Additionally, they will address rising costs by collaborating with the student cooperative and mobile payment companies and introduce a “Student Welfare Membership,” enabling students to access affordable meals. Likewise, they will establish a “Digital Innovation Department” to make campus life more convenient. Furthermore, they will form an “Emergency Audit TF Team” to enhance the student feedback mechanism and promptly address issues beyond regular audits.
Yoon Jae-young expressed a commitment to provide direct and substantial changes, aiming to realize a brighter future for SSU. Following their election as the new Student Council leaders, they are determined to guide the student community and work diligently toward concrete and effective transformations. Expectations are high for the 64th Student Council of SSU US:USM to lead a shining future in line with the anticipation of fellow students.
