SSU, Distributes Free Generative AI to Students

      SSU provided free Generative AI (Artificial Intelligence) services to all undergraduate and graduate students from September 1st. This is an attempt to promote students’ use of AI tools and speed up innovation in the fields of education and research.
     Brief self-authentication is required when creating an initial account for service use, and from then on, Soongsilians can easily log in through the linking of the school’s u-SAINT account. The Generative AI service can be used throughout the entire field of study, from report writing to preparing for an exam. The second semester of 2025 is the beta test period, and after a simple survey is completed, it will be provided free of charge until the first semester of 2026. Future provision plans will be decided through later discussions. SSU announced its direction that it plans to regularly check the status of Generative AI use and learning effects for policy sustainability and make efforts to optimize costs.
     There are still various debates over whether to distribute Generative AI in official institutions. Of course, relying on technology can negatively affect learners’ self-thinking ability, but if we use it effectively according to the purpose and context of use, we can achieve tremendous synergy.
