Soongsil University has selected three brand-leading schools this year to help students become leading experts in their majors. The selected schools are as follows: Department of Global Economics, School of Systems Biomedical Science, and School of Global Media. The selected schools are going to receive special support from SSU, like the three schools that were selected as specialized schools back in 2010 and 2011: School of Finance, Department of Accounting, and Department of Global Law. The reason for SSU’sselection of these brand-leading schools is that it is trying to raise leading professionals for today’s knowledge-based society. SSU is thus providing support to students with specialized guidance and career path programs.

There are many kinds of programs planned for brand-leading schools. The Department of Global Commerce has international study groups, real-life commercial try-outs, and a 100% English-only class. The School of Systems Biomedical Science is trying to raise experts in its area by offering educational programs for both Bachelor’s and Master’s degree holders. The School of Global Media is offering unique programs to increase the students’ creativity. It also offers student exchange and overseas language learning programs, among others, to help students become leading experts in their respective areas of specialization.
