A visit to a museum is essential for people who are preparing to travel overseas. This is because a museum provides people with a chance to understand another country’s history and culture. You can learn about world history, famous people, and other countries’ cultures when you visit a museum. The British Museum is considered one of the top three museums in the world, along with Louvre Museum in France and State Hermitage Museum in Russia.

 

The British Museum

The British Museum was the first national public museum to open its doors to the world’s citizens.Entry to it has been free of charge since its opening. The museum now holds over eight million items. The British Museum was established in 1795 by a naturalist. Most of the relics in the museum are the spoils of war from other countries during the British Empire era. Therefore, the British Museum is a treasure house of the world, and to this day, it has conflicts with other countries in terms of the ownership of the treasures it holds. The building has three stories and 94 exhibit halls. The first floor, which is the main floor, houses relics from ancient Egypt, Rome, and Asia.

 

Louvre Museum

Louvre Museum is a national museum located in Paris, France. This museum has been rebuilt as Palais du Louvre and was designated a World Heritage Site,along with Seine River in Paris. It is humongous, with a total length of 21 kilometers. The museum’s visitors are allowed to take photographs in the museum, except of the Mona Lisa painting. You will appreciate Venus de Milo, Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, and Nike of Samothrace.

 

State Hermitage Museum

This museum is a magnificent baroque-style palaceconsisting of four structures, including Winter Palace, the residence of the past emperors of Russia. The museum features various artworksfrom all over the world,including French and Italian artworks and the statues of Rodin.
