Soongsil ended the year 2015 with on-time recruitment application submission on December 30. As a result, of the 12,031 people who applied, 1,475 were recruited, and a final 8.16:1 ratio was recorded, representing an increase from last year’s 7.11:1 (of the 10,964 people who applied, 1,541 were recruited).
The regular admissions (Ga, Na, Da goon) showed an 8.63:1 competition ratio: of the 11,299 people who applied, 1,310 were recruited.
Ga goon recorded an average competition ratio of 5.65:1, 112:15 for the School of Chinese Language and Literature, the highest competition ratio (7.47:1). The School of Architecture followed, where of the 336 people who applied, 46 were recruited, representing a 7.30:1 competition ratio.
Na goon recorded an average competition ratio of 5.99:1, with 52 of the 455 people who applied in the School of Electronic and Information Engineering (IT Majors Fusion) being recruited, representing the highest competition ratio of 8.75:1. The School of Creative Arts (Film Art Major) followed, with 20 of the 161 people who applied being recruited, representing an 8.05:1 competition ratio.
Da goon’s average competition ratio was more than twice that of Ga goon (12.77:1). The Department of Sports had the highest competition ratio of 34.68:1, with 34 of the 1,179 people who applied being recruited. The Department of Creative Arts (Creative Writing Major) (34:1) and Department of Information and Sociology (20.71:1) showed higher competition ratios.
