There are many jobs that are unfamiliar to us. A certified public labor attorney is one of them. Let`s dive into the world of labor attorneys with ST. ㆍ ㆍㆍㆍㆍㆍㆍㆍㆍㆍㆍㆍㆍㆍㆍ ㆍㆍㆍㆍㆍㆍEd

Because of rapid changes in the labor market, job polarization, job generation, irregular labor, and inflows of foreign workers, the role of a Certified Public Labor Attorney (CPLA) is significant these days. Since the field of personnel management has become specialized, recruiting of professional human resources and outsourcing of tasks have increased. The rate of employment is expected to increase, thus demand is also expected to rise. However, people rarely know about the job called “Certified Public Labor Attorney,” which is highlighted as a promising job. How can we become certified public labor attorneys, and what are their tasks?

To be a CPLA, we will undergo 3 types of tests.
 Step 1 Multiple choice test
Society insurance law, civil law, labor law 1 and 2, and introduction to business administration or the principles of economics are among the subjects in the primary test. To pass the test, you have to meet two conditions. First, your score number should not be below 40. If your score is below 40 points, you fail the first condition. Next, you have to secure an average of up to 60 points. The average ratio of successful applicants is approximately 50%.
 Step 2 Descriptive test
Covered in the second test are labor law 1 and 2, HR management, administration dispute law, and an elective subject. Here, the average ratio of successful applicants is approximately 10%.

 Step 3 Interview
To pass the interview, you should get an average score of 8.

 CPLA, what are they doing?

If a laborer, who is treated unfairly, lodges an application for relief, or a non-regular worker who experiences discrimination, a CPLA is entrusted to deal with labor or company issues, and acts as a deputy.
To improve productivity and strategic management, both the company and the labor union should proceed with the tasks based on labor law. However, it is not easy to apply labor laws to individual establishments. To overcome difficulties, the CPLA provides legal consultations and policy-making services.
The CPLA must determine the main issues and problems in HR operations, and propose effective means to improve productivity.
The company must concentrate all its efforts to achieve main goals, and outsource simple tasks.

To improve its competitiveness, group classification, after considering the rationality of HR and reducing cost, must be prioritized. Then, value creation will emerge.
