SSU was awarded a certificate of appreciation by the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Cho Heeyeon) on December 31 in recognition of its contribution to revitalizing career-related education during the COVID-19 pandemic. SSU had already been working with Dongjak Career Experience Support Center since 2018 in order to provide specialized local programs and ‘Kkumnamu Creativity Camp.’ During the pandemic, SSU successfully provided the local students with small-scale offline SW experience classes while following the COVID-19 guidelines for social distancing. In addition, it produced ‘Celebrity Speaker Special Lectures’ in video format and allowed access to around 131 middle school students by utilizing the university’s Smart Campus LMS(Learning Management System). Additionally, among the online and offline programs conducted by SSU, the ‘High School Linked SW Special Lecture’ program provided SW courses for elementary, middle school, and high school students, in which more than 1,251 people have participated since 2018. SSU has participated in the educational donation certification system through the Spartan SW Education Center, the Korean Christian Museum, the Library, and other on-campus institutions to support educational donation activities in various fields since 2018.
