On March 3, students enrolled as freshmen at SSU.

 

 They had a lot of expectations and concerns together and started their school life. When they were in high school, a class teacher told them everything, but it doesn’'t work that way in a university. They will have to really take control of their lives. There are several good places in this school, but student may not know about them. This time ST will introduce available facilities and buildings in our university to Soongsilians.

  

First, students use the lending service of the library the most. SSU library takes its place at the center of school. You must have student card to enter the library. If you want to study, you need to go to a special room in the library on the first floor. This is a reading room. And is open all night along. You will notice that the library is only open to students who have student card, so please be prepared to show your university identification upon entering the reading room. Make sure you to check in again to extend the period you can study. Books on social science are on the third floor the with the computer room. A reference is on the fifth floor, the multimedia room is on the sixth floor, and compositions of computers, a

conference room, DVD players and DVDs can be loaned for a few days, if you want it.

  Second, Let me introduce you a good place for students, who fiddle the day away. If you love to read stories, comic books and so on, I recommend going to the ‘'Book Cafe’'. The ‘'Book Cafe’ has a

collection of comic books, magazines, and novels. It’'s located in the Students’ Hall. No admittance to those who don’'t have their bag, or student card. In the room, food is off limits as students worry about that place looking like a dumping ground, but it is O. K to bring your drinks in there. Nothing fancy, just

a table, a chair, and a sofa are provided. The best part of this place is that all of this can be yours for 300 won. Make sure you do not carry any book away. It’'s Open from 10:30 AM, and Closed is 6:00 PM.

  Third, There is a female student room for free time. This place is only for woman, so no admittance to man. It is located on the 3rd floor in the Students’' Hall. Female students ware granted free admission. A well stocked room and a bed are available to all female students for free if they're tired or in pain. In the winter, this  bedroom becomes an floor-heated room. If you want to smoke and watch a DVD, you need to go to each a special room next to the bed room. If you want to watch a DVD, go to the other room. Also, You can spend time chatting with your friends, or reading a book on the sofa. This place can be a

mess, because the place is open to every female student. Students have gathered to help clean up but the waste is extensive so students need to keep the space clean. Open time is 10:30 AM, and closed time is 7:00 PM.

  Last, There are available facilities. If you get a slight injury or are hurt, go to the school infirmary. In this place, you can receive medicine and take a good rest in bed. If you want to go to the post office, go to the Hyungnam engineering hall. The post office is open to everyone. There’'s many departments for students on the second floor. Do you need to register for your classes again? Do you want internship

program? Here is the place for you. If you want a book, you go to the a book store next to student dining room. If you need a book for a major, certainly visit here. It offers discounts to Soongsilias. In addition, TOEIC and TOEFL books are for sale.

  There’'s a lot more facilities you can use. You must not be nervous and above all you must do everything yourself in university. The secret to success in university is to go out of the building and find the facilities. If you look here and there, you can save money and make best use of facilities. The reason why you don’'t know is because you didn’'t really try to look for it. The university is owned by Soongsilas. Students have sufficient qualifications to receive all the services.

  

 

Since freshmen are not familiar with campus life in university, you might be very nervous of everything now. I think you can choose what you want.
