On October 8, the 64th student council US:SUM of SSU announced that ‘The Pyramid’ on the third floor of Shinyang Hall will be repurposed as a learning space. The Pyramid is highly convenient due to its location in front of the Central Library.
However, it remained unused throughout the first semester and in the beginning of the second semester of 2024. Previously, the Pyramid housed the print office, but, after the print office was relocated to the Student Union, the space was neglected. There was much discussion about converting the Pyramid into a new facility, such as a merchandise or souvenir shop, but students expressed a need for more learning spaces. Thus, the Pyramid has been transformed into a learning area. Furniture was arranged and ready for use by October 17.
The Pyramid at Shinyang Hall is expected to provide a good learning space and a resting area for students. This active interaction between students and the school reflects a healthy student society.
